We are SO excited to start using the new projector, purchased and given to our classroom by the P.T.O. There are so many new and exciting possible uses and it will definitely extend the learning opportunities of kindergarten. If you're not familiar with the term "projector," it's basically a tool that allows whatever is on my computer at my desk to be seen on the overhead screen.
One of the things we did today that used this very cool technology included reading a story online about Abraham Lincoln (illustrated and posted by a 1st grade class in Maine!) to introduce President's Day. You can look at it at the following link.

We also did an "updated" version of the Word Builders you've seen come home using Powerpoint. The possibilities are endless and we'll continue to explore different uses for the technology.
